charity shop
Opened in 1990, our Charity Shop is a self-funding project and is staffed by a paid Supervisor and ably assisted by excellent Volunteers. The shop offers affordable clothing and household goods for sale. We also give out clothing and basic household goods to those in dire need, the retail value of which was £819.00 for kitchen and bedding items and £634.15 for food items for the last financial year.
We are always looking for donations of goods, either for sale in the shop or to be handed out to those in need such as in the free starter packs for those setting up home. Items suitable for donation are:
- Bedding (URGENTLY IN NEED OF DUVETS, SHEETS AND GENERAL BEDDING)
- Household items such as pots, pans, cutlery, crockery
- Bric a Brac
- Clothing (mens, womens and children)
- Books
- Toys
- DVD's, CD's, Videos
- Curtains
Unfortunately due to health and safety legislation we are unable to accept electrical items. Donations can be dropped off at the shop anytime between 9.30am and 4.00pm.
Please note, we are unable to accept large items of furniture, as we longer have the facility to collect them. You are welcome to telephone the shop should you have any questions concerning donations. The shop can be contacted on 01522 883700.
